Lise-Meitner-Lectures
On Tuesday, March 11, 2025, the lecture of the Lise Meitner Lectures will take place as part of the ceremony at the Annual Meeting of the DPG 2025 at 4pm in HS 1+2 at the University of Bonn. Nobel laureate Anne L'Huillier, University of Lund, Sweden, will speak about “Attosecond pulses of light for studying electron dynamics".
This annual series of lectures at the DPG Annual Meetings aims to present outstanding female scientists to a broad audience.
The Lise-Meitner-Lecture 2025 will be given as part of the DPG's Ceremonial Session with Award Ceremony on Tuesday, 11 March 2025, at 16:00 in HS 1+2.

“Attosecond pulses of light for studying electron dynamics”
Abstract:
When an intense laser interacts with a gas of atoms, high-order harmonics are generated. In the time domain, this radiation forms a train of extremely short light pulses, of the order of 100 attoseconds. Attosecond pulses allow the study of the dynamics of electrons in atoms and molecules, using pump-probe techniques. This presentation will highlight some of the key steps of the field of attosecond science.
The talk will be held in English!
